October’s finalized data reported the typical value of a home in the county to be $250,000—up 6.95% over the previous 12 months. For comparison, state-level data pegged home values at $383,500 in South Carolina for the most recent reporting period. That number is expected to float around $384,350 in November.
Florence County had 125 new listings and 137 listings that went under contract in October, decreasing the area’s total available inventory to 527—down 3.66% from the previous month. Inventory is projected to have further decreased in November.
Of those 527 active listings, 23.72% reduced their price in the month of October. The median listing price for homes in Florence County fell 2.38% from September to October, bringing the current median listing price to $250,400. Based on projected data for November, listing prices may continue to fall.
