October’s finalized data reported the typical value of a home in the city to be $302,500—down 2.42% over the previous 12 months. For comparison, county-level data pegged home values at $340,000 in Bastrop County for the most recent reporting period. That number is expected to float around $336,120 in November.
Bastrop had 9 new listings and 6 listings that went under contract in October, decreasing the area’s total available inventory to 66—down 5.71% from the previous month. Inventory is projected to have further decreased in November.
Of those 66 active listings, 42.42% reduced their price in the month of October. The median listing price for homes in Bastrop grew 2.74% from September to October, bringing the current median listing price to $341,000. Based on projected data for November, listing prices may continue to grow.
