For comparison, state-level data pegged home values at $339,400 in Texas for the most recent reporting period. That number is expected to float around $336,150 in October.
Grayson County had 263 new listings and 220 listings that went under contract in September, decreasing the area’s total available inventory to 1,366—down 7.95% from the previous month. Inventory is projected to have further decreased in October.
Of those 1,366 active listings, 32.87% reduced their price in the month of September. The median listing price for homes in Grayson County fell 0.0% from August to September, bringing the current median listing price to $304,990. Based on projected data for October, listing prices may continue to fall.
The number of days that homes have been on the market prior to going under contract has been fairly steady year-over-year.
