The typical home value in Wood County is projected to be $297,680 for the month of June. May’s finalized data reported the typical value of a home in the county to be $271,450—up 9.02% over the previous 12 months. For comparison, state-level data pegged home values at $351,600 in Texas for the most recent reporting period. That number is expected to float around $353,200 in June.

Wood County had 98 new listings and 80 listings that went under contract in May, increasing the area’s total available inventory to 373—up 3.04% from the previous month. Inventory is projected to have further increased in June.

Of those 373 active listings, 32.44% reduced their price in the month of May. The median listing price for homes in Wood County grew 9.97% from April to May, bringing the current median listing price to $329,900. Based on projected data for June, listing prices may continue to grow.

The number of days that homes have been on the market prior to going under contract rose year-over-year. In May 2025, the median time for a listed property to go pending was 43 days, compared to 38 days in May 2024. In recent months the median number of days from listed to pending appears to be increasing. That trend is predicted to have carried through to this June.
