Jefferson County had 81 new listings and 96 listings that went under contract in December, decreasing the area’s total available inventory to 276—down 20.0% from the previous month. Inventory is projected to have further decreased in January.
Of those 276 active listings, 26.09% reduced their price in the month of December. The median listing price for homes in Jefferson County fell 5.33% from November to December, bringing the current median listing price to $354,990. Based on projected data for January, listing prices may continue to fall.
The number of days that homes have been on the market prior to going under contract has been fairly steady year-over-year.
