Since we had just moved to California, there were a lot of things we knew very little about. Brent took the time to explain everything from school districts and airport noise to seismic retrofitting and flood risks—topics that were completely new to us. He also helped us understand property appreciation trends and ownership costs, which made evaluating homes in such a competitive market much easier.
One thing that really stood out was that Brent never tried to sell us on a house just to close a deal. There was one property we looked at that seemed like it could have been a good fit and was within our budget. However, after reviewing the disclosures, Brent pointed out concerns with the foundation that we might not have noticed ourselves. That gave us a lot of confidence that he genuinely had our best interests in mind and was focused on helping us find the right home, not just any home.
At the end of the process, he was also incredibly helpful in negotiating contracts and contingencies so that we felt comfortable every step of the way.
More than anything, what I appreciated most about Brent was his honesty. Buying a home can be stressful, especially when you're new to an area, and we always felt that we could trust his advice. I'm very grateful that Zillow happened to connect us. In fact, I was amazed that within just a few minutes of clicking on a listing, Brent gave me a call. Looking back, that call turned out to be one of the best things that could have happened during our home search.
