For comparison, county-level data pegged home values at $1,488,000 in San Francisco County for the most recent reporting period. That number is expected to float around $1,532,000 in November.
San Francisco had 549 new listings and 612 listings that went under contract in October, decreasing the area’s total available inventory to 1,000—down 12.59% from the previous month. Inventory is projected to have further decreased in November.
Of those 1,000 active listings, 17.8% reduced their price in the month of October. The median listing price for homes in San Francisco fell 0.0% from September to October, bringing the current median listing price to $1,349,000. Based on projected data for November, listing prices may continue to fall.
