I met Tom Wellin at an open house in May 2024. That house was not for me, and he listened when I told him why. Over the next couple months he would send me listings and I would let him know what I liked and didn't like about the properties. He paid attention. House sales were slow in the area I was interested in living, so I hadn't heard from Tom in a while. Then in November 2024 he sent me some details on an upcoming sale which sounded promising, and got me a tour. It was love at first sight. I'm grateful that Tom paid attention and kept what I was looking for in mind. Tom was great through the whole purchasing process. I would strongly recommend Tom Wellin for your real estate needs!

Tom's market knowledge provided was a great benefit when looking to price the property, but most importantly for me, was his communication. I 110 miles away from the property and Tom was always great in communicating what was transpiring at the property and what to expect next. I never got the impression he was in it just for the comission, he displayed a genuine interest to help me get the property sold and was engaged through the entire process.

Five years ago we thought we wanted to buy a home in Sioux Falls. We were working with a realtor there and then he recommended Tom in Bismarck to sell ours. It turned out to be the wrong time for us and chose not move. But Tom faithfully sent us cards all through those years. After the difficult winter we decided it was time for us to move. We contacted Tom and he worked with us step by step to get our house sold. Even after it was sold he stayed with us until we left Bismarck. We were so pleased with Tom. Even after we were settled here in Sioux Falls he checked on us. He even gave us a very nice parting gift. He was the best!

Though most of home purchases these days are done electronically, Tom stayed in touch with me frequently to let me know of the progress of the purchase. He really cared that I was up to date on the various aspects of the purchase, and made sure I understood the whole process.

Long story - when my husband Mike and I first met Tom - Mike was fairly healthy - we looked at several places but nothing fit - then Mike was diagnosed with cancer - so we put house hunting and selling on hold - Mike came through it - we found what we wanted in new house and put our long time home up for sale - 5 offers first day. Then Mike caught covid - so did I - Mike passed away - I ended up having to back out of everything - Tom was very understanding and did not give up on me - when I was ready so was Tom and we started over -sold first day back on market and Tom helped me find the new home that fit for me.
