Over the rolling three-month period ending in July 2026, Houston’s home values have climbed sharply compared with a year ago. Typical home values are up more than 45 percent year over year, while the number of homes sold has more than doubled in the same comparison.
In the latest rolling window, buyers are seeing a typical home value around $383,000, with a median list price closer to $338,000. Inventory remains tight at just 22 active listings and about 2.5 months of supply, which supports the current seller’s market designation.
Homes are taking longer to sell than they did a year ago, with a median of 37 days on the market, yet activity has picked up with new listings up strongly year over year.
