September’s finalized data reported the typical value of a home in the county to be $170,000—down 42.18% over the previous 12 months. For comparison, state-level data pegged home values at $402,800 in Alaska for the most recent reporting period. That number is expected to float around $402,750 in October.
Valdez-Cordova Census Area had 4 new listings and 4 listings that went under contract in September, decreasing the area’s total available inventory to 24—down 11.11% from the previous month. Inventory is projected to have further decreased in October.
