September’s finalized data reported the typical value of a home in the city to be $440,000—down 2.22% over the previous 12 months. For comparison, county-level data pegged home values at $540,000 in San Bernardino County for the most recent reporting period. That number is expected to float around $536,480 in October.
Apple Valley had 98 new listings and 112 listings that went under contract in September, decreasing the area’s total available inventory to 342—down 8.56% from the previous month. Inventory is projected to have further decreased in October.
Of those 342 active listings, 33.04% reduced their price in the month of September. The median listing price for homes in Apple Valley grew 3.12% from August to September, bringing the current median listing price to $462,500. Based on projected data for October, listing prices may continue to grow.
