October’s finalized data reported the typical value of a home in the city to be $365,000—up 27.18% over the previous 12 months. For comparison, county-level data pegged home values at $383,490 in Lake County for the most recent reporting period. That number is expected to float around $385,950 in November.
Howey-in-the-Hills had 3 new listings and 4 listings that went under contract in October, decreasing the area’s total available inventory to 21—down 8.7% from the previous month. Inventory is projected to have further decreased in November.
Of those 21 active listings, 33.33% reduced their price in the month of October. The median listing price for homes in Howey-in-the-Hills fell 4.09% from September to October, bringing the current median listing price to $328,000. Based on projected data for November, listing prices may continue to fall.
The number of days that homes have been on the market prior to going under contract rose year-over-year.
