For comparison, state-level data pegged home values at $381,100 in Georgia for the most recent reporting period. That number is expected to float around $383,700 in May.

Ben Hill County had 14 new listings and 9 listings that went under contract in April, increasing the area’s total available inventory to 49—up 16.67% from the previous month. Inventory is projected to have further increased in May.

Of those 49 active listings, 26.53% reduced their price in the month of April. The median listing price for homes in Ben Hill County fell 19.81% from March to April, bringing the current median listing price to $172,000. Based on projected data for May, listing prices may continue to fall.
