October’s finalized data reported the typical value of a home in the city to be $261,900—down 9.53% over the previous 12 months. For comparison, county-level data pegged home values at $310,000 in Pasquotank County for the most recent reporting period. That number is expected to float around $294,750 in November.
Elizabeth City had 47 new listings and 29 listings that went under contract in October, decreasing the area’s total available inventory to 97—down 2.02% from the previous month. Inventory is projected to have further decreased in November.
Of those 97 active listings, 29.9% reduced their price in the month of October. The median listing price for homes in Elizabeth City grew 15.35% from September to October, bringing the current median listing price to $299,900. Based on projected data for November, listing prices may continue to grow.
The number of days that homes have been on the market prior to going under contract fell year-over-year.
