July’s finalized data reported the typical value of a home in the county to be $260,000—up 23.81% over the previous 12 months. For comparison, state-level data pegged home values at $305,500 in North Dakota for the most recent reporting period. That number is expected to float around $305,700 in August.
Barnes County had 9 new listings and 5 listings that went under contract in July, increasing the area’s total available inventory to 22—up 15.79% from the previous month. Inventory is projected to have further increased in August.
Of those 22 active listings, 13.64% reduced their price in the month of July. The median listing price for homes in Barnes County grew 54.44% from June to July, bringing the current median listing price to $274,900. Based on projected data for August, listing prices may continue to grow.
