For comparison, county-level data pegged home values at $318,000 in Cumberland County for the most recent reporting period. That number is expected to float around $312,000 in October.
Shippensburg had 5 new listings and 4 listings that went under contract in September, decreasing the area’s total available inventory to 14—down 0.0% from the previous month. Inventory is projected to have further decreased in October.
Of those 14 active listings, 28.57% reduced their price in the month of September. The median listing price for homes in Shippensburg grew 6.38% from August to September, bringing the current median listing price to $250,000. Based on projected data for October, listing prices may continue to grow.
