September’s finalized data reported the typical value of a home in the city to be $930,000—up 10.75% over the previous 12 months. For comparison, county-level data pegged home values at $735,000 in Washington County for the most recent reporting period. That number is expected to float around $782,500 in October.
Narragansett had 22 new listings and 23 listings that went under contract in September, decreasing the area’s total available inventory to 50—down 18.03% from the previous month. Inventory is projected to have further decreased in October.
Of those 50 active listings, 24.0% reduced their price in the month of September. The median listing price for homes in Narragansett grew 11.2% from August to September, bringing the current median listing price to $877,950. Based on projected data for October, listing prices may continue to grow.
