Market gauge is calculated using active listings and pending sales from the most recently available reporting period (Jul 2026).

Inventory in Bell County has eased slightly, with active listings down about 7% from last year and sitting at 2,919 in July. Contract activity has cooled as well, as homes sold dropped 12% year over year and pending sales slipped nearly 5%, pointing to a slower pace of signed deals.

Pricing is reacting to this softer demand, with the typical home value and median list price both down roughly 4% compared with last year. Even with those declines, sellers are still achieving close to asking price, as the average sale-to-list ratio hovers just above 98% and only about 12% of homes close above list.

Conditions have shifted toward balance, with months of supply rising more than 39% from a year ago to 5.6 months, similar to the statewide level in Texas. While homes now take a median of 67 days to sell, that timeline is actually shorter than a year ago, and both buyers and sellers can turn to Agent Pronto to connect with a local agent who understands these changing dynamics.

Learn more about what Bell County has to offer.

Bell County offers residents a welcoming, thriving community with diverse outdoor recreation, strong schools, growing local jobs, and a rich mix of culture and neighborhoods.

Bell County sits along the I‑35 corridor between Austin and Waco, offering quick regional access along with a strong network of local jobs, schools, and services. Anchored by Temple, Killeen, and Belton, the county is shaped by the presence of Fort Cavazos and major medical employers, giving residents a mix of military, healthcare, education, and tech‑adjacent opportunities.

Daily life is practical and convenient. Families appreciate the Belton Independent School District and Killeen Independent School District, while higher education options like Temple College and the University of Mary Hardin‑Baylor support both students and career changers. Shopping, medical care, and services cluster along I‑35 and US‑190, making errands and commutes manageable.

Outdoor and cultural amenities add balance. Belton Lake and Stillhouse Hollow Lake offer boating, fishing, and shoreline parks, while Miller Springs Nature Center connects residents with trails and wildlife. In Temple, the Railroad and Heritage Museum and Temple Public Library anchor downtown activity, and local dining clusters around Killeen and Temple.

Whether you are relocating to Bell County, moving between neighborhoods, or preparing to sell, the area’s diversity of communities and price points can be complex to navigate. A knowledgeable local agent can explain school zones, commute patterns, and micro‑market trends so your decisions are clear and your timeline stays on track. “When deciding who to go with to sell our home, there was no question. My family always chooses Cherri' for buying and selling land and property. She is not only a trusted guide for all things real estate, she is also respected figure of our community. She deeply cares about helping people through so much more than just the buying and selling process. She knows the ins and outs, the why's, the how's, and everything in between. She sold our home quickly, and gave us a stress free experience, like she always does. We were able to focus on our move and getting our kids going at their new schools.”

“Tyon is an outstanding realtor and grateful and thankful that we got to work with him. I've been trying to sell my home for almost 2 years before working with him and out of the realtors that I've had, he did the most for us. He is all about his clients and makes sure to have their best interests at heart. He helped us with any repairs that could be done at the house so there wasn't any extra expense on our end, plus he ripped out the carpet for us so we could get it replaced. For things he couldn't do himself, we was always trying to find the least expensive solution for it. He was very knowledgeable in his field and I couldn't have asked for a better person to help us get our house sold!”

“I am so glad that I used Agent Pronto to connect with several Realtors (out of state) and figure out what qualities in a real estate professional were most important to me. Through the process I connected with my lifeline, Celine Crestin, who is a dream to work with. She helped me navigate a difficult market with over 20 offers submitted, a few accepted/terminated due to inspections, and finally my ideal investment property. She had to solve problems, think quickly and critically, and I trusted her advice completely when I wondered if things were overpriced, unreasonable, or too good to be true. I am so lucky to have had the chance to work with her.”
