January’s finalized data reported the typical value of a home in the county to be $290,000—up 2.29% over the previous 12 months. For comparison, state-level data pegged home values at $329,600 in Texas for the most recent reporting period. That number is expected to float around $324,200 in February.

Henderson County had 118 new listings and 59 listings that went under contract in January, increasing the area’s total available inventory to 587—up 0.86% from the previous month. Inventory is projected to have further increased in February.

Of those 587 active listings, 24.19% reduced their price in the month of January. The median listing price for homes in Henderson County grew 2.09% from December to January, bringing the current median listing price to $302,450. Based on projected data for February, listing prices may continue to grow.
