We engaged Doug Alvey during July 2012 to help us find our house. After speaking with us and looking over some of our interests, he locked into what we were looking for and had a number of houses for us to look at in a short amount of time. He was always available to answer our questions and to gather additional information for us. Since my wife and I were both new to home ownership, he was very helpful during the entire process: from the mortgage pre-approval, through the offers, and finally into closing in mid-September. When we started the process of looking for a new home, we starting calling many realtors. It was a bit overwhelming. The first few showings were with several different realtors...then we met Doug Alvey. After meeting with all the realtors, Doug was our favorite. He wasn't pushy or a "know it all", he was just very friendly. Doug showed us many houses, and was very patient with us as we took our time to make a decision. While in the process of buying a home, we were also in the process of selling one, and we found that Doug was so much more helpful and knowledgable than the realtor on the other end of our situation.
