I had an OUTSTANDING time selling my condo and looking for new homes with John Clark. From the very beginning, he worked tirelessly to help me prep my place for sale, finding me local staging consultants, house painters, photographers, and movers he has worked with many times. He's got a great "posse" behind him! He's a lifelong Marin county local and knows every nook and cranny of the county, and is cognizant of what's going on with changes in local laws, taxes, and upcoming construction projects. John's a great active listener, but I also thoroughly enjoyed hearing his stories about growing up in Marin, being a realtor, and being a real estate investor himself. I feel like a got a Ph.D. in real estate by working with him. I rate him a perfect 10.

We just bought our first home with John's help! Being first time home buyers, we were nervous, didn't know what to expect, and had lots of questions. John made himself available on short notices to see homes we were interested in right away. He knew what to look for (potential issues in a house), pointing out things as we walked around. It is a really competitive market, but with John's help we were able to get our first offer accepted and we feel very good that we didn't overpay, but we chose the house and budget that made the most sense for us. We went into escrow at a very crazy busy time with a Hawaii vacation that was already planned beginning before the second week of escrow. John was so easy to work with and went above and beyond to make sure that everything went smoothly and we closed on time. He went to the house to over see the chimney and pest inspections since we couldn't be there but we were at peace knowing that he was at the house and would alert us of any issues.

John managed a successful home purchase for us! He worked with us to identify the specific development and unit layout that we wanted, and when a matching property came up, he presented a preemptive bid to the seller. Pitching us as serious buyers who would close quickly, he obtained acceptance before the first open house. John was patient, responsive, and tactical throughout our search, the offer, and escrow process. He respected our objectives and conscientiously represented our interests. He also worked well with other parties to the transaction: listing agent, HOA, contractors, escrow staff; his friendly, low-keyed manner helped smooth over the tensions that are unavoidable in such a major transaction. John is the best. We were nervous about buying a house in this market and had talked to a couple of other realtors, but once we met John we knew we were in good hands. He took a ton of time with us, showing us as a ton of homes (what I thought we wanted and then what we actually wanted - he did a great job taking me through that journey :)), and did an excellent job of sharing the pros and cons of each home we looked at.

Most importantly, he's a great listener! He really honed in what we wanted and what was important to us, and got us in a house that we love, love, love. He walked us through the entire process and never made us feel rushed, but always took the time to explain each part of the process thoroughly and what to expect. He's knowledgable, prepared, and a genuinely good guy. There is literally no one else I would trust to sell or help us buy another home! I can't recommend John enough!

John is THE realtor in Marin and surrounding areas. I am so happy that I met him during our journey of home buying process. I was in the market for a condo/townhomes in the Bay area. I was not yet sure about the location and so I was looking at some realtors who could help me show some places before I finalized my location. I contacted John through Redfin and was so impressed by his professional at the same time friendly attitude towards this.
As a first time buyer I had very little info about what to expect when looking at properties an John was very patient, supportive and educated us about the whole process. Unlike other bay area realtors that I dealt with, John was never pushy about submitting offers and gave us ample time to commit to the area and home buying process.
The best part is he went one step beyond when it came to finding homes, making offers and also home-inspection process until the escrow process completed smoothly.
