Starting at the age of 17, I began working in the Marina District in Downtown San Diego. By the age of 18, I was running my parents’ small family business, It’s a Grind Coffee House, on the corner of 1st Ave. and G St. This experience gave me the opportunity to meet the people who make up downtown and truly understand what downtown living is all about.
