The typical home value is about $701,000, up a few percent from the prior three-month period, even as the median list price has moved lower and months of supply dropped from 7.8 to 5.9 since March.

Sales activity has picked up in this latest view. Homes sold rose sharply, and pending sales more than doubled year over year, while new listings increased more modestly.
