Looking at March 2026, the median list price stood at about $572,000, even as the typical home value was lower, suggesting many sellers are still aiming high while testing the market. Conditions are expected to stay lean in the near term, with projections for April suggesting inventory could slip to around 6 homes, the typical home value could ease to about $327,000, and the median list price may edge up toward $585,500, helping keep Heart of Chicago firmly in a seller’s market.
