Year-over-year trends in Ogle County point to sharply rising home values, with the typical home value up 41.14 percent even as Illinois overall has seen only a 0.67 percent increase. At the same time, inventory is down 8.45 percent from last year and new listings have slipped 7.5 percent, helping keep conditions tilted toward sellers.
In March 2026, the typical home value stood around $247,000, while the median list price was lower at about $209,900. Homes spent a median of 41 days on the market, which is 36.67 percent longer than a year ago but still supports a seller’s market with just 1.7 months of supply and 45 pending sales against only 65 active listings.
Recent monthly shifts show buyers gaining some leverage, as median list prices fell 15.17 percent from the prior month and days on market shortened by 18 percent. Looking ahead to April 2026, projections call for the typical home value to move toward $279,500 with inventory easing to about 56 listings and a projected median list price near $191,125, so both buyers and sellers can benefit from working with Agent Pronto to find an agent who understands these evolving conditions.
