Year over year, Fountain County’s typical home value in April slipped compared with last spring, even as Indiana as a whole saw prices edge higher. At the same time, local homes sold were up more than 17 percent from a year ago, showing that demand has picked up despite softer prices.

In the latest monthly snapshot, homes are moving significantly faster, with the median days on market dropping to about three weeks and less than half of what it was just a month earlier. Inventory is still tight at 1.9 months of supply, and active listings have climbed more than 13 percent since March, giving buyers more options while keeping conditions tilted toward sellers.

Pricing dynamics show some renewed strength, as the typical home value jumped over 11 percent month over month and the median list price increased nearly 7 percent.
