October’s finalized data reported the typical value of a home in the city to be $344,950—up 9.51% over the previous 12 months. For comparison, county-level data pegged home values at $260,000 in Allen County for the most recent reporting period. That number is expected to float around $262,000 in November.

Huntertown had 36 new listings and 26 listings that went under contract in October, decreasing the area’s total available inventory to 98—down 2.97% from the previous month. Inventory is projected to have further decreased in November.

Of those 98 active listings, 19.39% reduced their price in the month of October. The median listing price for homes in Huntertown grew 7.6% from September to October, bringing the current median listing price to $396,950. Based on projected data for November, listing prices may continue to grow.

The number of days that homes have been on the market prior to going under contract fell year-over-year.
