September’s finalized data reported the typical value of a home in the county to be $185,000—down 8.64% over the previous 12 months. Acadia Parish had 32 new listings and 34 listings that went under contract in September, decreasing the area’s total available inventory to 101—down 5.61% from the previous month. Inventory is projected to have further decreased in October.

The median listing price for homes in Acadia Parish fell 25.93% from August to September, bringing the current median listing price to $168,500. Based on projected data for October, listing prices may continue to fall.
