For comparison, county-level data pegged home values at $247,450 in Cape Girardeau County for the most recent reporting period. That number is expected to float around $241,230 in July.
Cape Girardeau had 45 new listings and 47 listings that went under contract in June, increasing the area’s total available inventory to 104—up 2.97% from the previous month. Inventory is projected to have further increased in July.
Of those 104 active listings, 26.92% reduced their price in the month of June. The median listing price for homes in Cape Girardeau grew 15.72% from May to June, bringing the current median listing price to $240,000. Based on projected data for July, listing prices may continue to grow.
