Year over year, Valley’s rolling three-month numbers point to a market that has become more expensive and faster moving. The typical home value is essentially flat compared with a year ago, but the median list price is up sharply, rising nearly 30 percent. Homes are also selling more often above asking, with the share of sales over list price jumping about 38 percent.
