September’s finalized data reported the typical value of a home in the city to be $729,000—up 30.41% over the previous 12 months. For comparison, county-level data pegged home values at $600,000 in Passaic County for the most recent reporting period. That number is expected to float around $591,000 in October.
Preakness had 20 new listings and 15 listings that went under contract in September, increasing the area’s total available inventory to 47—up 6.82% from the previous month. Inventory is projected to have further increased in October.
