July’s finalized data reported the typical value of a home in the city to be $367,500—down 5.77% over the previous 12 months. For comparison, county-level data pegged home values at $333,500 in Minnehaha County for the most recent reporting period. That number is expected to float around $330,250 in August.
Brandon had 22 new listings and 10 listings that went under contract in July, increasing the area’s total available inventory to 33—up 10.0% from the previous month. Inventory is projected to have further increased in August.
Of those 33 active listings, 27.27% reduced their price in the month of July. The median listing price for homes in Brandon fell 13.94% from June to July, bringing the current median listing price to $370,000. Based on projected data for August, listing prices may continue to fall.
