For comparison, state-level data pegged home values at $348,400 in Texas for the most recent reporting period. That number is expected to float around $348,500 in May.

Burnet County had 159 new listings and 84 listings that went under contract in April, increasing the area’s total available inventory to 640—up 4.07% from the previous month. Inventory is projected to have further increased in May.

Of those 640 active listings, 31.41% reduced their price in the month of April. The median listing price for homes in Burnet County grew 8.49% from March to April, bringing the current median listing price to $575,000. Based on projected data for May, listing prices may continue to grow.

The number of days that homes have been on the market prior to going under contract fell year-over-year.
