June’s finalized data reported the typical value of a home in the county to be $279,000—up 21.04% over the previous 12 months. For comparison, state-level data pegged home values at $357,000 in Texas for the most recent reporting period. That number is expected to float around $360,300 in July.
Jackson County had 23 new listings and 5 listings that went under contract in June, increasing the area’s total available inventory to 89—up 18.67% from the previous month. Inventory is projected to have further increased in July.
Of those 89 active listings, 24.72% reduced their price in the month of June. The median listing price for homes in Jackson County grew 16.99% from May to June, bringing the current median listing price to $229,000. Based on projected data for July, listing prices may continue to grow.
