Lamar County is seeing a solid number of homes available, with 222 listings on the market and 5.4 months of supply in March 2026. New listings reached 64 for the month, up about 3 percent from a year earlier. Pending sales came in at 46, which is roughly 8 percent lower than last year, signaling slightly slower contract activity.
Pricing is adjusting to this balanced backdrop between buyers and sellers. The typical home value in Lamar County is about $185,000, down 17.04 percent year over year and nearly 19 percent from the prior month, and it sits well below the Texas average of $342,400. At the same time, sellers are asking more on new listings, with the median list price at $257,450 and up over 17 percent from last month.
Homes are spending a median of 70 days on the market, which is about one third faster than just a month ago but still more than 37 percent slower than a year ago.
