September’s finalized data reported the typical value of a home in the county to be $402,950—up 4.66% over the previous 12 months. Madison County had 20 new listings and 19 listings that went under contract in September, decreasing the area’s total available inventory to 42—down 4.55% from the previous month. Inventory is projected to have further decreased in October.

The median listing price for homes in Madison County grew 33.99% from August to September, bringing the current median listing price to $489,000. Based on projected data for October, listing prices may continue to grow.
