October’s finalized data reported the typical value of a home in the city to be $572,000—down 31.7% over the previous 12 months. For comparison, county-level data pegged home values at $605,090 in Island County for the most recent reporting period. That number is expected to float around $582,890 in November.
Freeland had 2 new listings and 6 listings that went under contract in October, decreasing the area’s total available inventory to 17—down 26.09% from the previous month. Inventory is projected to have further decreased in November.
Of those 17 active listings, 29.41% reduced their price in the month of October. The median listing price for homes in Freeland fell 1.18% from September to October, bringing the current median listing price to $587,500. Based on projected data for November, listing prices may continue to fall.
The number of days that homes have been on the market prior to going under contract fell year-over-year.
