In my many years of experience in this real estate industry, I’ve never encountered a buyer (or any authorized representative) who is required to pick up the key in the Listing Agent’s office, especially when the office is not local. Nor this “special requirement” is communicated ahead of time so some accommodation can be arranged. We got this “requirement” right before the closing of escrow, surprisingly! And it was stated like “this is our policy and our work hour is 9 to 5”. Does this sound like a government office? I understood that this is an out-of-town transaction for the listing team. It will be easier for THEM. I requested different options, such as delivering the keys to the property, the escrow office, or somewhere close to the property. They just ignored and insisted that it’s their policy and they need to strictly follow it (Did they disclose this to the property owner when they tried to get the business?). I sent a couple of texts, and emails to Alex (Lead and Listing Agent from Rain Maker Real Estate) to raise the issue but I was completely ignored either. It was a horrible experience. This causes a 1-day delay in keys delivery to the new owner, after the Close of Escrow. Deals will pass, but the experience will last, especially if it’s a bad experience. It goes beyond the transaction. What I saw here is, is a bit of entitlement, cut corners, or lack of professionalism, if nothing else. I had been expecting a bit more from this team. To customers, make sure to ask if they have other “policies” that are only in their favor. It is better to know it early than later. LOL

We hired Alex and his team for the sale of our Bay Area home and it was one of the best decisions we made. Alex and his team made the entire process extremely easy even though we were remote and got us the best price for our house. He and his team were extremely diligent and knowledgable about the market and what we needed to do for the sale. Alex showed true professionalism, honesty and integrity throughout the process and I would highly recommend him to anyone that is looking for a realtor. We would not hesitate to work with Alex again in the future.

Four years ago, we purchased our house with the help of Alex. Recently, we have had to sell the house remotely due to some unexpected circumstances. We turned to Alex again as we know he could take good care of the house. Unsurprisingly, we had a smooth and worry-free experience selling our house even during the Covid-19 pandemic. I would highly recommend Alex to anyone who needs to buy/sell a house in the Bay Area.

We've been working with Alex for a very long time and he's constantly kept in touch with us throughout our entire journey over finding the right home for us. We are super picky, have strong personalities and high expectations, and Alex has been nothing short of a miracle in making our first home purchase (together as a family) simply amazing and a dream come true! We love working with Alex not only because is he a great negotiator and a knowledgeable real estate agent (not just the property, but his relationships and connections with other agents), but because he's a great person to trust and communicate with when timing is everything. You seriously don't want to work with anyone else, because if you're looking for someone who genuinely respects you and your family (and not just looking for a commission), you need to have Alex represent your interests.

The housing market in the bay area is a competitive mess. Alex and Eva helped us to get a place on our first bid. We were first time house buyers and they were very patient with us. We were immediately very comfortable with them. They gave us strategic input to help us decide what we really wanted and ultimately because we listened to their advice, we were able to win the first bid we ever made. We would highly recommend them to anyone.
