Year-over-year, typical home values on the Far Southeast Side are slightly lower, even as much of Chicago has seen prices rise. The rolling three-month median sale price is down compared with a year ago, while Chicago’s overall prices are up more than 7 percent. At the same time, homes sold in this area are up more than 12 percent from last year, showing stronger activity even with softer prices.
This rolling three-month period also shows a modest dip in inventory compared with last year, with active listings down slightly and new listings roughly flat.
