December’s finalized data reported the typical value of a home in the county to be $156,000—down 35.0% over the previous 12 months. For comparison, state-level data pegged home values at $265,300 in Indiana for the most recent reporting period. That number is expected to float around $263,600 in January.
Benton County had 5 new listings and 8 listings that went under contract in December, decreasing the area’s total available inventory to 29—down 14.71% from the previous month. Inventory is projected to have further decreased in January.
Of those 29 active listings, 13.79% reduced their price in the month of December. The median listing price for homes in Benton County grew 2.07% from November to December, bringing the current median listing price to $175,000. Based on projected data for January, listing prices may continue to grow.
The number of days that homes have been on the market prior to going under contract has been fairly steady year-over-year. In December 2025, the median time for a listed property to go pending was 19 days, compared to 18 days in December 2024.
