Year over year, Person County’s typical home value is up, rising about 8 percent even as the statewide median slipped slightly. At the same time, the median list price has fallen nearly 20 percent from last August, signaling sellers may be pricing more realistically. Fewer homes are commanding above-list prices, and the share sold over asking has declined from last year even as the average sale-to-list ratio has edged up to nearly 98 percent.
