April’s finalized data reported the typical value of a home in the city to be $2,250,000—down 7.12% over the previous 12 months. For comparison, county-level data pegged home values at $2,250,000 in Teton County for the most recent reporting period. That number is expected to float around $2,177,500 in May.
Jackson had 13 new listings and 7 listings that went under contract in April, decreasing the area’s total available inventory to 29—down 21.62% from the previous month. Inventory is projected to have further decreased in May.
Of those 29 active listings, 6.9% reduced their price in the month of April. The median listing price for homes in Jackson grew 75.73% from March to April, bringing the current median listing price to $2,950,000. Based on projected data for May, listing prices may continue to grow.
