Pat was a fantastic partner as we searched for a house on the water; her knowledge of the various areas was an invaluable resource to us as we had very little experience with the area (or waterfront property in general), and her patience and persistence was very appreciated as we looked at house after house in this crazy market environment. Pat clearly has a great deal of expertise, which was helpful in everything from general topics like how well/septic, seawalls, and flood zones work, to her often knowing specifics about individual houses, as she had dealt with so many of them before. Pat was also key during the sign-to-close period, helping us to quickly chase and find resolutions to issues as they popped up.

Pat is the BEST! She helped us find our fist home and now our forever home! She is knowledgeable about the entire process and took the time to explain all of it to us on more than one occasion. You couldn't ask for a nicer, more understanding, patient, friendly, and more approachable agent than Pat Smarto. Pat went above and beyond when it came to the sale of our home, things that weren't in her control, she still tried to make a difference. Pat is off-the-charts with her promptness when it comes to returning calls, texts, feedback, contracts, and follow-up. EVERYTHING was in a VERY timely matter and went exactly as she said it would.

Pat's personal touch and honesty was CRITICAL in getting this deal done. We really appreciated not just her knowledge of the area but how it applied to our particular situation (which was unusual). She also provided several helpful little nudges to remind me to follow up on certain things, which I greatly appreciated. I had met a broker while doing other business and considered her but she was a half hour away and not all that familiar with waterfront properties. I called Kay Starostovic (sp) , the township supervisor, as my cousin is a great friend of hers, she referred me to Pat and spoke very highly of her. I was impressed with Pat's knowledge of waterfront properties and her longevity in Fox Lake. Pat is very professional and answered all my questions quickly.
