July’s finalized data reported the typical value of a home in the city to be $550,000—down 3.51% over the previous 12 months. For comparison, county-level data pegged home values at $605,000 in Riverside County for the most recent reporting period. That number is expected to float around $600,190 in August.
Palm Desert had 80 new listings and 111 listings that went under contract in July, decreasing the area’s total available inventory to 462—down 15.69% from the previous month. Inventory is projected to have further decreased in August.
Of those 462 active listings, 26.41% reduced their price in the month of July. The median listing price for homes in Palm Desert grew 2.89% from June to July, bringing the current median listing price to $625,000. Based on projected data for August, listing prices may continue to grow.

In July 2025, the median time for a listed property to go pending was 84 days, compared to 94 days in July 2024.
