Year-over-year, South Side Indianapolis shows mostly steady pricing with a typical home value essentially flat while the median list price is down slightly. At the same time, inventory and activity have expanded, with active listings up nearly 12 percent and homes sold increasing just over 8 percent compared with the same rolling three-month period last year.

From the latest rolling three-month view ending in May 2026, buyers are seeing a typical home value around $200,000 and a median list price near $208,000. Conditions are looser than a year ago but still lean toward sellers, with about 3.5 months of supply and a market gauge that categorizes the area as a seller’s market.
