For comparison, county-level data pegged home values at $206,000 in Scott County for the most recent reporting period. That number is expected to float around $208,500 in May.

Scottsburg had 10 new listings and 8 listings that went under contract in April, decreasing the area’s total available inventory to 17—down 0.0% from the previous month. Inventory is projected to have further decreased in May.

Of those 17 active listings, 52.94% reduced their price in the month of April. The median listing price for homes in Scottsburg grew 25.83% from March to April, bringing the current median listing price to $238,950. Based on projected data for May, listing prices may continue to grow.
