Year over year, Hoke County’s typical home value has inched up while sales activity has cooled. Home values are up around mid‑single digits from last April, but homes sold have dropped sharply over the same period. Active listings are also down compared with a year ago, even as months of supply has more than doubled, signaling more breathing room than last spring.

Zooming in on April 2026, the typical home value stood just under $341,000, with the median list price slightly lower around $322,000. Homes took about 60 days to sell on average, far longer than last spring and above the state’s pace, while supply sat at 3.9 months versus 4.4 months statewide.

Recent month‑to‑month shifts show a mixed picture for buyers and sellers. Home values jumped more than 10 percent from March, yet the number of homes sold fell and new listings edged down, even as pending sales climbed and supply increased. Only about 14 percent of homes closed above list price and the average sale‑to‑list ratio hovered just under 100 percent, hinting at modest pricing power for sellers and selective negotiating room for buyers.
