Downtown Rapid City had 69 new listings and 47 listings that went under contract in May, increasing the area’s total available inventory to 59—up 5.36% from the previous month. Inventory is projected to have further increased in June.
The median listing price for homes in Downtown Rapid City fell 1.69% from April to May, bringing the current median listing price to $290,000. Based on projected data for June, listing prices may continue to fall.
The number of days that homes have been on the market prior to going under contract rose year-over-year. That trend is predicted to have carried through to this June.
