September’s finalized data reported the typical value of a home in the county to be $225,500—down 7.56% over the previous 12 months. For comparison, state-level data pegged home values at $339,400 in Texas for the most recent reporting period. That number is expected to float around $336,150 in October.

Camp County had 11 new listings and 7 listings that went under contract in September, decreasing the area’s total available inventory to 84—down 3.45% from the previous month. Inventory is projected to have further decreased in October.

Of those 84 active listings, 36.9% reduced their price in the month of September. The median listing price for homes in Camp County fell 23.88% from August to September, bringing the current median listing price to $259,000. Based on projected data for October, listing prices may continue to fall.

The number of days that homes have been on the market prior to going under contract fell year-over-year.
