For comparison, state-level data pegged home values at $351,600 in Texas for the most recent reporting period. That number is expected to float around $353,200 in June.

Garza County had 7 new listings and 4 listings that went under contract in May, increasing the area’s total available inventory to 10—up 11.11% from the previous month. Inventory is projected to have further increased in June.

Of those 10 active listings, 20.0% reduced their price in the month of May. The median listing price for homes in Garza County fell 8.86% from April to May, bringing the current median listing price to $186,600. Based on projected data for June, listing prices may continue to fall.

The number of days that homes have been on the market prior to going under contract fell year-over-year.
